Dr Anjali Kumar is the Director & the Sr. Consultant, Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at the CK Birla Hospital, Gurgaon and the Director ‘The Gynae Clinic‘ Sushant Lok, Gurgaon. In the past, she has headed gynaecology departments of Artemis Health Institute, Gurgaon, Paras Hospitals, Gurgaon and various army hospitals. She is an alumnus of prestigious Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi, an ex-army officer and possesses rich 29 years post-graduate experience in the field.

She is a renowned gynaecological endoscopic surgeon, having done certificate course and training from World Association of Laparoscopic Surgeons and Ethicon endosurgery Institue, New Delhi. She has performed many complicated gynaecological laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgeries till date. Her area of expertise includes laparoscopic hysterectomies, laparoscopic myomectomies, laparoscopic management of ectopic pregnancies (tubal conservation surgeries), laparoscopic treatment of ovarian cysts, laparoscopic fertility enhancing surgeries and operative hysteroscopies (hysteroscopic removal of fibroids/ polyps, septal resections ,synechiolysis etc.)
She has pioneered a novel technique of uterine suturing in previous caesarean pateints called a Reverse Uterine Closure Technique, which was presented, published and accepted at the apex international conference “FIGO, Vancouver 2015” and the apex national FOGSI 2015 as Kumar’s Technique.

She initiated the concept of “Natural Child Birth Oriented Pregnancy Care” in and around NCR and was the first one to start patient educational programs and labor preparation antenatal classes for the expectant couples in Gurgaon. These antenatal classes have been running at the clinic for last 15 yrs successfully with patients coming from Gurgaon, Delhi and NCR. She has developed patient strategies and labour protocols to increase normal delivery rates and decrease caesarean/ instrumental deliveries and routinely encourages and does lot of VBACs (vaginal births after caesarean) cases. Routinely employs and encourages  labor analgesia methods (inhalational analgesia, epidurals, paracervical/ pudendal blocks for easy and comfortable birthing experience.
